If there are spots on the body that are similar to lichen, which do not itch - it is necessary to compare them with the manifestations of other skin diseases, non-fungal nature.

Spots on the body

Spots on the smooth skin of the trunk and extremities occur with the following diseases:

  1. Pink Zhibera's lichen;
  2. Seborrheic dermatitis;
  3. Ring-shaped erythema;
  4. Chronic erythema in Lyme disease.

Let's look at the symptoms and photos of the listed diseases and look for matches.

The cause of the disease is unknown, a viral infection is suspected. In this pathological process, in most cases, the so-called mother plaque first appears, which has a size of 2-5 cm, a bright pink color and an oval shape. The plaque slightly rises above the surface of the skin, and in the center of it there is a slight peeling.

After 7-14 days, many secondary plaques appear that are 2-3 cm in size, also bright, oval, with a gently folded center, erythema-squamous, which means that there is redness with large peeling in the center. Also characteristic is the appearance of peeling in the form of a "collar" inside the plaque.

Foci in pink deprive are not located chaotically, but along the elastic lines of the skin( Langer's lines).Plaques appear consistently, so one patient may have a variety of types of foci.

How to treat?

Usually, treatment with Zhibera is not required, recovery comes on its own in 4-6 weeks. It is recommended to refrain from contact of the affected skin with water, exclude mechanical effects on the foci( rubbing with a washcloth or a hard towel).

In the expressed process, they are used:

  • Antihistamines: chloropyramine, clemastine, etc.
  • Calcium chloride, calcium pantothenate inside with the purpose of increasing nonspecific immunity.
  • Creams, ointments with glucocorticosteroids( hormonal), which have an anti-inflammatory effect.
  • Water-zinc beetle, naphthalan paste outside.
  • Ultraviolet irradiation.

The cause of seborrheic dermatitis is the active development of microflora with increased sebum separation. In this disease on the skin of the trunk, arms, legs appear yellowish-pink spots, as well as plaques, various in shape: round, oval, irregularly shaped, with clear boundaries and peeling.

With the location of pathological foci in the folds of the skin there is swelling, redness, there may be cracks, wetting, crusts. It is possible to attach other microorganisms and develop a purulent inflammatory process. Its signs will be:

  • Pronounced redness of the skin, puffiness;
  • Pain when touching;
  • Isolation of pus;
  • Local increase in skin temperature in places of pathological lesion.

How to treat?

Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis is long and regular. It is aimed at combating inflammation, preventing the spread and re-development of the pathological process. Therefore, a number of pharmacological drugs that have a complex effect are prescribed:

  • Antihistamines with itching, sleep disturbances: chloropyramine, clemastin, loratadine;
  • Calcium gluconate, calcium pantothenate when the foci become wet;
  • Hormonal preparations with a significant spread of the inflammatory reaction: betamethasone dipropionate in injections, prednisolone inside;
  • Tranquilizers with long-lasting insomnia and intense itching: nitrazepem, oxazepam;
  • Soothing preparations: herbal complexes, guaifenesin;
  • Enzymes: pankeratin, cholic acid, pepsin, bovine bile extract( their use is shown, since it has been established that with seborrheic dermatitis, there is almost always a violation of the enzymatic activity of the digestive tract).

Locally applied:

  • Astringent lotions with tannin, silver, boric acid, which well dry the wetting pockets;
  • Disinfecting greases with green, fukortsin;
  • With severe inflammation apply ointments with hormones - glucocorticosteroids: betamethasone, dexamethasone, hydrocortisone and others;
  • An effective alternative to hormones - 1% pimecrolimus;
  • Pastes with birch tar, naphthalan;
  • When attaching infection, ointments and aerosols with antibiotics are prescribed;
  • If the treatment is ineffective, systemic antifungal agents are used: intraconazole, fluconazole;
  • Physiotherapy: CMT - sinusoidal-modulated currents.

The cause is not established. It is a chronic skin disease in young men, which is presumably a toxic reaction to an allergy or infection. Develops in predisposed persons who have a certain set of HLA-complexes.

In the beginning of the disease on the skin there are small spots on the body, similar to lichen, which do not itch, with insignificant peeling.

Gradually, they increase and take the form of a ring, with a pronounced bright pink roller along the edges and a westernization in the center. The center of the ring is normal or slightly pink, there is no peeling.

The size of the spots is from 2 to 8 cm. The shape can be deformed into half-rings, garlands, which was the name of the disease. A mild itching is present in rare cases.

How to treat?

Treatment of annular erythema is carried out in the following directions:

  • Elimination of chronic inflammatory foci: tonsillitis, sinusitis, etc.;
  • Normalization of the digestive tract;
  • Antihistamines;
  • Calcium preparations inside;
  • Sodium thiosulfate in injections with detoxifying effect;
  • Diet with the elimination of possible food allergens;
  • Locally - ointments with hormones.

Lyme disease is an infectious disease. The second name is borreliosis, according to the type of pathogen( spirocheta Borrelia burgdorferi), which enters the human body after a bite of an ixodid mite, its carrier.

The stage of chronic erythema is the onset of the disease, its early detection can help diagnose borreliosis, and start treatment on time.

A spot with a border in the form of a wide red ring is formed and gradually grows in size at the site of suction of the tick. The total size of the spot is from 3 to 15-60 cm. The center of the spot is pale, the edges are edematous and painful to the touch.

A few days later, the spot begins to spread to neighboring skin areas, new foci may appear. The forms of the rings are diverse, the edges are scalloped. Most often, erythema is located on the skin of the head, neck or upper chest and back.

Simultaneously there are: general weakness, intoxication, fever, headache, swollen lymph nodes, joint pain and liver area.

How to treat?

If it is suspected that the spots are a manifestation of borreliosis, if there is a connection with the tick bite, it is necessary to urgently consult an infectious disease doctor. The treatment is complex and is performed in a hospital. As the infectious process subsides, stains are also reversed.

Spots on the head

If the stains on the body are similar to lichens do not itch and settle on the head, then they can be the result of the following diseases:

  1. Seborrheic dermatitis;
  2. Alopecia areata;
  3. Pseudo-pellet.

Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp

Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp

Causes are similar to seborrheic dermatitis of smooth skin. The earliest sign is dandruff. Then there is redness and exacerbation of the skin, specific plaques with distinct edges are formed, which merge and can cover a significant area of the head, going over the forehead.

In some cases, yellowish-dirty crusts are formed, which, when removed, reveal a wetting surface. If the process has passed into a chronic form, then hair loss begins, which decreases when the inflammation subsides against the background of treatment.

Plaques on the head are often accompanied by the appearance of rashes on the face in the form of spots and plaques.

How to treat?

General treatment as for seborrheic dermatitis of smooth skin. Locally, antiseboric shampoos are used with tar, ketoconazole, zinc. Thus, the therapy is aimed at drying and fighting with fungi that live on the scalp of the scalp.

Alopecia areata, or alopecia areata
Focal alopecia pictures

Focal alopecia photo

Causes are not fully understood at this time, suggest autoimmune destruction of hair follicles. Disease with an unpredictable course - foci can, both appear and disappear on their own within 2-6 months.

Sometimes there is a layering of processes - old pockets are not overgrown, and new ones have already appeared. To provoking factors include stress, genetic predisposition, acute and chronic intoxication of the body.

The manifestations of focal alopecia are the only complaint - the formation of areas completely devoid of hair, which can grow and spread throughout the head. Hair loss can also be recorded in other parts of the body.

There are several forms of the disease:

  • Limited form - 1-2 round patches of alopecia with clear contours. Hair at the edge of the foci is easily pulled out;
  • Subtotal - characterized by the lack of about 40% of hair;
  • Ophiasis - there is a fall on the edge of hair growth, or only on the occiput or in the frontotemporal zone;
  • Total - full hair loss on the head;
  • Universal - the hair falls out both on the head and on the face( eyebrows, eyelashes), as well as in the groin, in the axillary zones. In severe form, there is a lack of gun hair.

How to treat?

Treatment is always complex and long-lasting:

  • With severe form of prednisolone inside, 1.5 months, with a gradual decrease in dose;
  • Outer: ointment beclomethasone 2 months or minoxidil before hair regrowth;
  • Introduction of hormones into the hearth;
  • Zinc oxide or zinc sulfate inside, 3 months;
  • Pentoxifylline inside, 1 month;
  • Nicotinic acid 20 days intramuscularly;
  • FHT - irradiation with ultraviolet on the background of ingestion of a tablet or local treatment with a photosensitizer( xanthotoxin, isopimpinellin).
Pseudo-pestle

Pseudo-pancake photo

Refers to the group of atrophic alopecia. A rare disease of the scalp, which is most often affected by men 20 to 45 years of age. The reasons are unknown. Assume the microbial nature or disturbance of nutrition of hair bulbs, due to disorders of the nervous regulation of follicles( trophoneurosis).

Is manifested by the presence of a large number of areas devoid of hair. They are of different size and shape, which increase and merge. As a result, a semblance of a "geographic archipelago" may form.

The focal skin is thin, atrophic, inflammatory process is absent. Complaints, as a rule, patients do not show for a long time, and the disease is detected accidentally.

How to treat?

  • Pre-hair removal of the remaining hair;
  • Locally rub the ointments with sulfur, tar, mercury;
  • Wash your head twice a day with hot water and Arndt soap.

We listed the main pathological causes of stains on the body, similar to scabies, but not itching - in other cases, itching is a characteristic symptom, including lichens and herpes.
