Midokalm in pricks is an injection solution given to patients with increased muscle tone, which is triggered by neurological diseases. The action of the drug is aimed at relaxing the muscles, lifting hypertonia and spasticity and providing an analgesic effect.

In one ampoule Meadocalm contains a dose of 1 ml, the main chemical composition of the solution:
- 100 mg-tolperisone hydrochloride;

Pharmacological profile
A drug that reduces the tone of the skeletal system, which is associated with a reduction in motor functions,full restriction of movements.
The mechanism of action of the drug is aimed at normalizing the transmission of information signals from the brain to the upper part of the dorsal, while the level of reflex excitability of the latter decreases.
Midokalm Richter
Promotes the transfer of intracellular signals in skeletal muscle tissue, is an anticholinergic. Tolperisone, contained in the drug, affects the reduction of muscle spasms and reduces the impact of diseases that are accompanied by increased tone or dystonia.
Secondary action of the drug - a decrease in the transmission of nerve impulses in the process of entering the body of calcium, saturated with ions. Normalizes the stability of motor functions. Lidocaine, contained in the drug, has a local anesthetic effect.
Chemical reactions that occur when the drug is exposed to a rapid rate undergo metabolism in such organs of the digestive system as the liver and kidneys. Midokalm is excreted in the urine by more than 99% for about an hour and a half.
Mechanism of action

Indications and contraindications for use
The main indications for the application of Midokalma: 
- hypertonic muscle , increasing with load or tension, and which causes resistance even with weak movement;
- spasticity of of skeletal muscle tissue, which provokes stiffness of movements, poor orientation of the extremities in space and speech impairment;
- with muscular dystonia syndrome ;
- of the myasthenia gravis of a neurological nature.
Hypertonus and spasticity in turn can be caused by the following diseases( which means that the injections of Miodocalm can be used in complex therapy):
- after a stroke;
- in the defeat of nerve structures affecting the connectivity and complexity of movements;
- after various spinal cord injuries;
- Multiple Sclerosis;
- for inflammation of the spinal cord and brain, which are caused by intoxication, allergic reactions or viruses;
- during spinal cord dystrophy;
- for arthrosis;
- chronic diseases of the spinal column;
- stiffness of the muscles of the cervical and upper arm;
- lumbar syndrome, which is caused by lumbar or thoracic osteochondrosis.
What else helps Midokalm?
In conjunction with other drugs, the drug can be prescribed for:
- complications caused by diabetes mellitus;
- chronic arterial diseases, the symptoms of which are initially expressed by the numbness of limbs or lameness;
- diffuse scleroderma, accompanied by fibromas of the skin and internal organs;
- Raynaud's syndrome, which develops due to spasm of capillaries;
- lack of blood supply to the capillaries.
Application of Mydocalm is contraindicated in such cases:
- individual intolerance;
- period of pregnancy and lactation;
- is a severe form of myasthenia gravis, affecting the muscles of the face, tongue and neck.
Persons who do not exceed 18 years of age are not prescribed a drug.
Scheme of Injection and Dosage
The injections of Mydocalm have been specially created to prevent the drug from getting into the stomach. The drug is administered intramuscularly or 
intravenously.
The dosage of injections is recommended as follows:
- intramuscularly - prescribe 100 mg twice daily;
- intravenously - 100 mg daily, but the administration should be slow or the drop method should be selected.

Cases of overdose and side effects of

During the use of the product, care must be taken when carrying out work that is accompanied by a high concentration of attention, including responsibility for the health of the person and others. However strange it may be, Miodocal and alcohol are compatible, since the medicine does not increase the effect of alcohol on the body.
Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to refrain during treatment from taking alcohol-containing drinks, otherwise the drug can cause and negative effects on the body.
