Why office workers are rapidly deteriorating vision

click fraud protection

The modern lifestyle is associated with increased eye strain: working at a computer, watching TV for a long time. Improper diet, stress, smoking, alcohol - all this puts additional stress on the eyes and impairs vision. Because of this, many people over 40 have complaints associated with decreased vision. Especially often office workers turn to an ophthalmologist with this problem.

They spend the whole day in front of computer monitors, which are a source of ultraviolet radiation, and in combination with the light of fluorescent lamps and intense visual stress, not only rapid eye fatigue appears, but also a decrease in visual acuity, contrast sensitivity and color perception. Office work is usually sedentary, accompanied by frequent and unhelpful snacks from the nearest fast food restaurant or a vending machine with food, which is washed down with a large cup of invigorating coffee. As you can imagine, the sources of vitamins and minerals in such conditions are clearly insufficient.

To a greater extent, visual functions in people over 40 suffer from a decrease in reserve functions, while the body's resistance falls to the aggressive effects of external factors, the deficiency of vitamins and minerals leads to disruption of the work of most organs and systems. For the eyes, the visual pigments contained in the deep layers of the retina, in the lens, choroid are of great importance - these are lutein and zeaxanthin. They protect the tissues of the eye from the damaging effects of the blue spectrum of the visible light, have antioxidant properties, thereby, preserve the integrity of the retinal structures, slow down lens opacity and prevent the development of age-related macular degeneration and cataracts.

Unfortunately, they are not able to be produced in the body on their own; a person receives them only with food. Large amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin are found in egg yolk, carrots, peppers, spinach, and a number of other foods. It is very difficult to get the amount of substances necessary for the health of the eyes with food that is adequate to the needs of the body. In addition, not all incoming nutrients are fully absorbed in the intestines, the reason for this may be diseases of the gastrointestinal tract - gastritis, duodenitis and others, which are often found in case of improper and irregular meals.

Experts recommend supplementing the daily diet with the intake of complexes of vitamins and minerals for the eyes as a prophylaxis, for maintaining the existing visual acuity and slowing down the progression of the disease, since it will be impossible. Clinically tested products are recommended. The composition of such funds should include lutein, zeaxanthin, zinc, selenium, vitamins C and E. Thanks to the powerful antioxidant effect of such components, the health of the eyes is maintained, the pigment epithelium of the retina is strengthened and the early clouding of the lens is prevented. Office workers can be shown a product of European quality "Ocuwaite Lutein Forte", which is considered drug No. 1 on the recommendation of ophthalmologists in Russia and contains all of the above substances in the optimal ratio.

You should not wait for the first signs of decreased vision, use additional sources of nutrients, even if your vision seems perfect to you. Course reception of a biologically active complex will prevent and significantly reduce the risk of developing serious diseases of the organ of vision.
