Injections, unlike ointments, creams and tablets, act almost instantly, which makes them more effective against acute back pain. The pharmaceutical market offers a wide range of intramuscular injections with various pharmacological properties.

Classification of drugs

Depending on the effect, drugs are classified into groups. The key factors in choosing a particular remedy are the nature of the pain (short-term, acute, chronic), the clinical picture of the disease and the condition of the patient himself.

Classification of medicinal products:

  1. NSAIDs. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are a logical development of aspirin and white willow bark.
  2. Glucocorticoids. These are steroid hormones produced by the adrenal cortex.
  3. insta story viewer
  4. Muscle relaxants. Relaxing drugs that reduce skeletal muscle tone.
  5. B vitamins. They have neurotropic properties, affecting the processes in the nervous system.

In order to avoid allergic and other undesirable reactions, you should consult your doctor before using medicines.

The best drugs in the pharmacy

Each drug has a unique generic name (INN). The chemical constituent of the original drug is the benchmark for generic manufacturers. The first ones have been thoroughly investigated: safety and efficacy have been proven, there are extensive data on long-term results of treatment.

The price of a generic drug can be 2-3 times higher than the price of the standard. The key difference between copies and original drugs is a set of excipients. They can largely change the pharmacological component: reduce the activity of the drug or, on the contrary, enhance it.

Any changes in the set of excipients change the effect of the drug on the body. If there were no negative reactions to the original drug, then it is far from the fact that the same will happen with the generic.

NSAIDs

They are the most popular anti-inflammatory drugs on the market and, unlike corticosteroids, are less aggressive to the body. Such drugs cause much fewer complications and side reactions.

Nevertheless, in some cases, negative effects may appear:

  • aspirin asthma;
  • gastritis;
  • exacerbation of the ulcer;
  • allergic reactions.

With the systematic use of NSAIDs, coupled with diseases of the gastric mucosa, proton pump inhibitors are prescribed as an adjuvant. Nonsteroidal medications should also be used with caution for nasal polyposis.

The key qualities of NSAIDs are the reduction of fever, inflammation and analgesic effects. The pronounced antipyretic properties for pain are practically useless, therefore ibuprofen and similar drugs are not included in the list. It is the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that are important here.

Diclofenac

Diclofenac injections for back pain is the best-selling drug on the pharmaceutical market among other NSAIDs. The drug was created in 1966 and is currently used in oncology, surgery, urology and neurology as well.

Diclofenac injections for back pain

Diclofenac has pronounced anti-inflammatory properties. Injections are prescribed for pain of a very different nature: hernia, rheumatism, edema, trauma and other pathologies of the musculoskeletal system. But injections only stop the problem, not help solve it.

The drug is used once a day, and in case of severe pain, the dose can be increased to two injections. Injections are deep intramuscular. Each ampoule (2 ml) contains 75 mg of active ingredient. The package may contain 5 or 10 injections.

One of the obvious disadvantages of "Diclofenac" is the high likelihood of side effects, especially with prolonged use and exceeding the dosages indicated in the instructions.

With prolonged use, there is a risk of serious complications:

  • diabetes;
  • infections;
  • venous thromboembolism;
  • osteoporosis;
  • avascular necrosis.

Glucocorticoids should be taken strictly under medical supervision.

"Triamcinolone" is prescribed for inflammation of joints and soft tissues: arthritis, gout, arthrosis, psoriatic plaques and other local pathologies. Injections are administered intramuscularly or intraarticularly.

The drug is packaged in 5 or 10 ampoules in a box. The active substance content can vary considerably. For systemic treatment, the dose is 40 mg. In severe cases, the rate can be doubled. Muscle relaxants

One of the most common causes of back pain is muscle spasm. Muscle relaxants are used to stop the latter. The drugs significantly reduce muscle hypertonicity, while reducing pain.

Such funds are quite effective and act selectively. Unlike glucocorticoids, muscle relaxants are safer, which is associated with fewer side effects and contraindications.

The use of relaxing drugs has practically no effect on the patient's ability to work or activity. Most often they are prescribed to patients at risk: children, the elderly, people with high sensitivity to drugs.

"Tolperisone + lidocaine"

Injections against back pain "Tolperisone + lidocaine" are prescribed for muscle spasms, various pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, as well as for the rehabilitation of joints after traumatological operations. The drug has a local anesthetic effect, reducing the level of pain.

Injections are packaged in 5 or 10 pieces per box. Ampoules with a volume of 1 ml contain 100 mg of tolperisone and 2.5 mg of lidocaine. The dosage in each case is individual and depends on many factors. Only a doctor selects the optimal treatment.Back pain injections. Titles, list of the best

Neurotropic vitamins

B vitamins have a significant effect on the processes occurring in the nervous system. Such drugs reduce pain to a lesser extent than the above drugs. But at the same time they are distinguished by a much more gentle effect on the body as a whole.

Neurotropic vitamins are prescribed for a number of reasons:

  • refusal of the patient to take NSAIDs;
  • problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • lack of a visible effect from taking other drugs;
  • poor tolerance of painkillers.

If the patient, due to immobility, cannot carry out physiotherapeutic procedures, then neurotropic vitamins are also recommended to him.

"Thiamin"

It is a water-soluble vitamin B1 that plays an important role in metabolism. The drug is prescribed primarily for vitamin deficiency and only then for neuritis, radiculitis and back pain as well. Elements of group B1 are actively involved in the processes of conducting nerve impulses between cells.

Injections are packed in boxes of 5 or 10 pieces. Ampoules of 2 ml, each containing 50 mg of the active substance. The dosage and duration of therapy is individual: it depends on the clinical picture, indications and age of the patient.Back pain injections. Titles, list of the best

One ampoule with a volume of 2 ml contains: thiamine (B1) - 100 mg, pyridoxine (B6) - 100 mg and cyanocobalamin (B12) - 1 mg. One box contains 5 or 10 injections. With a pronounced pain syndrome, 2 ml is administered every day for 5-10 days.

  • allergic rashes;
  • vomit;
  • tachycardia;
  • dizziness.

Contraindications:
