- Pine nut shell video
The healing properties of pine nuts well known and familiar. But shells are used less often for home medicine. And this is a big omission, because if you buy non-shelled nuts, you can get 2 potential medicines at once, kernels and husks, which you don't have to throw out.
Peculiarities
The shell of a pine nut, the medicinal properties of which are quite diverse, has a specific composition and appearance. It is used only for the preparation of various medicines, since it is not suitable for eating.
Description
Nutshells are a by-product that remains after the processing of cedar pine fruits. It comes in different shades of brown, from light, slightly golden yellow to dark chestnut. The shells removed from the walnut are small pieces with sharp edges. Sometimes it is half of the shell of one grain, sometimes it is split into small pieces.
One of the advantages of husk is that there is no need to buy it separately. If you buy unpeeled nuts and clean them at home, the kernels can be safely eaten or left for preparing food, drinks or cosmetics. And put the shell aside and make home remedies from it.

The shell of a pine nut is rich in fiber, contains a little fat, protein and other useful substances. The average percentage of the main substances is as follows.

2% | 4% | 1,9% | 2,3% | 70% | 19% |
Sometimes some substances may be slightly less, others a little more. It depends on the conditions in which the cedar grew and on how the nuts were stored before peeling.
From macro- and microelements in the product are presented:
- copper;
- iron;
- calcium;
