Many conscripts are wondering whether they are recruiting with the varicocele. The disease affects men of different age groups. Often the pathology affects young people, whose age has not reached 16 years. This is due to the peculiarities of the development of the vascular system in adolescents. To give an exact answer to this question, it is necessary to understand how pathology arises.

Military service

Etiology of the disease

Varicocele affects the vascular system of the inguinal zone. Pathology is localized in the patient's scrotum. The male reproductive system has a complex structure. The genital function depends on the vas deferens and the sex glands. The spermathecal system consists of testes and cords, which hold the testicles in the correct position. Behind the cords is a bundle of vessels, the structure of which looks like a bunch of grapes.

These vessels carry blood to the gonads. In rare cases, there is an increase in the areas of the vascular system. Under the pressure of blood in the vessels develops varicose veins. Varicose groin is called varicocele. Pathology is divided into three groups:

  • Pathology of the first degree;
  • Second degree of disease;
  • Third degree or operable form of pathology.

The first degree of the disease is characterized by sections of veins that can be probed through the scrotum only with strong tension of the lower peritoneum. In the second stage, the pathology is accompanied by a significant thickening of the vessel walls. The pathological site can be probed through the scrotum in a calm state. It is not necessary to tighten the musculature. In the third stage varicocele, you can see the external signs of the disease. Venous nodules and a vascular network appear on the scrotum. This form of pathology must be removed surgically.

If the operation is not carried out, then there are problems with conception. A man becomes barren. Also, the patient is more likely to torsion testis. This complication requires immediate surgery, otherwise the man will lose one sexual gland.

How the service depends on the degree of the disease

Andrologist Service in the army is the main duty of every man. But there are diseases that prevent the performance of military duties. Varikotsele refers to these diseases.

The first degree varicocele is not the cause of deviation from the army. At this stage of the disease, the patient has no significant deviations in health. At this stage, the disease can change. In most patients, the first degree of the disease passes independently without medical intervention. But there can be changes for the worse. Pathology can quickly move into the second or third form.

The second form should be considered separately. The patient at this stage varicocele is manifested by the method of palpation of the spermatic cord through the scrotum tissues. Pathology can be quickly eliminated by surgical intervention. But the patient has the right to refuse the operation in the military medical unit. This is spelled out in the federal law on health protection. Refusal of the operation entails exemption from military service for medical reasons.

If a man agrees to an operation, he receives a respite from performing military duties. The delay can be 6 months or more. It depends on the severity of the pathology and the rehabilitation period after the operation. In some cases, the operation is carried out untimely, then the patient is completely released from the service in the army.

How can I get a respite

To register a refusal of the operation, the patient must write a written application. A copy of the medical file must be attached to the application. For a diagnosis to be considered correct, a man must undergo a medical examination prior to a military commission.

For this, a man must visit a doctor. The specialist will prescribe several different tests to the patient. The diagnosis - varicocele depends on the indications of dopplerographic examination and ultrasound diagnosis of veins.

Operation Dopplerography is needed to study the following indices:

  • Proximity of the vessels of the inguinal zone;
  • Presence of nodules on the walls of veins;
  • Disturbance of tissue trophism.

This examination is carried out using a special solution that passes through the venous bundles. On the screen, the doctor sees the areas on which blood passes with complications or completely rises in place. After clarifying the problem area, it is necessary to make ultrasound of the vessels to confirm the stage of pathology.

If ultrasound examination shows the presence of nodes, the patient is assigned an operation. A man should take a copy of the diagnosis and come with her to a military commission. The refusal of the operation must be written in the military medical center. It must be accepted, as it is stipulated in the legislation. If the patient agrees to the operation, the consent is also issued at the military medical center. In this case, the doctor gives him a written respite from the army. The postponement period will be determined by the attending physician after surgery.

Third degree of pathology

In the third stage of the disease, the patient needs surgical intervention. The doctor prescribes the operation without fail. A man must take a copy of the conclusion and bring it to the military commission. In this case, the patient receives exemption from military service.

To find out if it is possible to receive exemption from the army service, the patient should visit a specialist for diagnosis.

If the doctor determines the diagnosis - varicocele, then the man needs to find out the degree of pathology. After that it will be clear whether he should serve in the army.
