Hawthorn is a berry shrub, famous not only for its beneficial fruits, but also for the beauty of its exuberant snow-white bloom. Wild species of hawthorn can be found in any territory of the northern hemisphere with a temperate climate. The natural habitat of the culture is between 30 and 60 parallel in North America and Eurasia. Description

Hawthorn (Crataegus) is a deciduous tree-like shrub with thorny branches and edible fruits. Ripe berries of the culture are spherical or pear-shaped, similar to small apples with hard bones.

A high-quality alcoholic extract from hawthorn fruits should be prepared based on a ratio of 1:10. Where 1 part of fresh fruit accounts for 10 parts of ethyl alcohol with a strength of at least 65%.

At home, alcohol of a lesser strength is often used. Pharmacy tincture has 70% strength and can have a color from yellow-orange to reddish-brown, depending on the raw material.

The liquid is brightly colored, but transparent, with possible precipitation of a small precipitate.

The greatest anti-aging properties are possessed by a special cosmetic tincture made from the leaves and flowers of hawthorn. The resulting cream is treated with problem areas several times a day until the pigmented areas are lightened.

Hair rinse

A small amount of hawthorn tincture added to the rinse water gives the hair a healthy shine, a well-groomed look and gradually heals seborrhea. After 4 weeks of this rinsing, dandruff disappears and the scalp stops flaking.
