Fukortsin is a Russian antiseptic solution for outdoor use. The drug in a short time restores the state of the epidermis and at the same time has a low cost. The disadvantage of the product is the staining of the skin red. In this regard, patients often replace Fukortsin with colorless analogs.
Characteristics of the drug
Fukortsin is a solution that is used only externally. Active elements: boric acid (0.8%), resorcinol (7.8%), and fuchsin (0.4%) - have a disinfecting effect, destroying microbes and fungal infection. The drug is released in the form of a clear solution with a dark red color, which has a gouache smell. The drug can be purchased in 10 and 25 ml glass bottles.
Indications for the use of Fukortsin are:
- fungal infection on the skin;
- purulent wounds or papules with pus;
- preventing the penetration of infection in the presence of cracks, abrasions or superficial wounds on the skin.
Before using the solution, the patient needs to exclude allergy to the composition, and the drug should not be used when there are deep wounds on the skin.
Basic instructions
An analogue of Fukortsin, but colorless, allows you to eliminate skin infection and at the same time remain invisible on the epidermis.
In the case of choosing Fukortsin, the patient must first study the subtleties of the medication, which include:
- Fukortsin cannot be used to treat large areas of the skin, since then it is possible that phenol poisoning will develop, which can cause deterioration in breathing, pressure surges and severe dizziness;
- after application, the solution causes a burning sensation that lasts no more than 2-3 minutes;
- the place treated with Fukortsin (after the solution has dried) should be treated with a moisturizing cream, since the drug dries the skin greatly;
- Fukortsin can be used to treat ulcers with stomatitis, only a point application, you cannot rinse your mouth with a solution;
- the solution can be used to eliminate a skin infection from birth;
- when carrying a fetus, as well as during lactation, Fukortsin can only be used as directed by a doctor;
- the area treated with the solution turns crimson-red. It is difficult to completely wash off the product from the epidermis. But it is good to lighten the skin with a solution of ammonia and hydrogen peroxide (1: 2 ratio) or lemon juice.
When applied topically, the drug is considered harmless. But if it is accidentally taken orally, then the poisoned person will have vomiting, severe weakness and severe respiratory failure. A visit to the hospital is required to normalize the victim's condition and select symptomatic therapy.
Analogs
The closest analogue to Fukortsin is "Castellani Colorless Paint". The product has a similar composition, but there is no fuchsin dye. The rest of the characteristics of the drug are completely identical to the original. Further, other substitutes for the drug are considered, and their qualities are compared.
Acerbin
An analogue of Fukortsin, but colorless, Acerbin is an Austrian solution for external use. A substitute, as the original belongs to the category of drugs from the free sale.
