- diseases of the digestive tract (gastritis, tumors of the stomach and large intestine),
- pregnancy,
- various infections.
Symptoms
Iron deficiency anemia manifests itself in the form of anemic syndrome (a complex of symptoms):
- fast fatiguability
- drowsiness
- noise in ears
- dyspnea
- pallor of mucous membranes
Also, with iron deficiency, the following symptoms are observed:
- fragility, curvature of nails
- section and hair loss
- dry skin, the skin does not tan well
- difficulty swallowing dry food
- constipation
- cracks in the corners of the mouth (seizures)
- shiny tongue
- decline hemoglobin in blood
Treatment
Treatment for iron deficiency anemia begins with eliminating the cause of blood loss and iron deficiency.
It is necessary to use iron-containing drugs (ferroplex, feramide, tardiferon)
A combination of iron preparations with ascorbic acid, with vitamins B6 and B12, as well as folic acid is useful.
