Precautions
Vinegar is a chemical preparation, a solution of acetic acid. It is available, because it is sold in almost all grocery stores.
But before using vinegar in the treatment of pediculosis, it must be properly selected and diluted with water. Otherwise, you can not only damage the hair, but also get a chemical burn of the dermis, the treatment procedure is difficult and long, and the scars after that remain for life.
The following types of vinegar are available in the store:
- apple;
- dining room;
- acetic essence.
As for the latter, it is a 70% solution of acetic acid. Apply vinegar essence is strictly prohibited, because if it is incorrect to dissolve or violate the rules of use, the drug will simply burn the scalp. Moreover, if you breathe in a pair of essences, it can harm the respiratory organs.
Please note! In this case, you need to buy either apple( 3 percent) or table vinegar( 9 percent).The latter, in turn, must be diluted 1: 2 with water, before use, provided that the prescription does not contain other indications.
What is required for treatment?
In addition to the vinegar and other ingredients that are indicated in the recipes listed below, the treatment for lice will require:
- comb with small, frequent prongs;
- saucepan filled with hot water;
- toothbrush;
- shower cap.
Rules for combing lice
The most important step in the whole procedure is the removal of lice. And the success of the treatment depends on how thoroughly it is carried out. The algorithm should be as follows.
Step 1. To comb out lice, nits and eggs after treatment, use a frequent comb. Nearby should be a pot filled with hot water.
Step 2 .With the help of the comb, each thin strand is carefully combed.
Step 3. After this, the comb is dipped into water and cleaned of the nits adhering to it by means of a toothbrush.
Step 4. Then the combing procedure is repeated.
It turns out, you just need to comb all the hair on your head, each time cleaning the comb. If it is not cleaned, the procedure will not work, because lice and nits will again move from the comb to the hair.
How does vinegar affect the parasites?
Vinegar affects lice complexly, which is why it is so effective. It not only destroys parasites, but also greatly facilitates the process of combing nits and lice. The latter, as is known, hold on tight enough to hairs - for this lice are allocated a special adhesive substrate. Acetic acid dissolves this substrate, which can not be said about pharmaceutical means of pediculosis. For this reason, mechanical removal without preliminary treatment with vinegar is ineffective.
Please note! In the instructions of all anti-pedicidal shampoos, after use, rinse your hair with vinegar to dissolve the glue and facilitate combing.
People suffering from allergies to chemicals can use vinegar in place of chemist's drugs. As for children, it is also better to treat them with vinegar - it is not as aggressive and harmful as these preparations, but on condition of proper breeding.
