Diprospan, analogs in ampoules of which only a doctor can select and prescribe, has a wide range of medicinal effects. The achieved therapeutic effect lasts for a long time.

The period of elimination of the drug from the body reaches 10 days. In this regard, it is quite difficult to make a replacement.

Dexamethasone

Diprospan (analogs in ampoules are closer in therapeutic effect than substitutes in tablets) you can replace with prescription hormonal medication Dexamethasone (manufacturers Russia, Ukraine, India, as well as China).

Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules

The drug is produced not only in the form of a solution for injection, but also tablets, as well as eye drops.

The main element of the substitute (dexamethasone) has anti-inflammatory, anti-shock and antihistamine effects. Additionally, the medication helps to reduce the protective functions of the immune system, prevents the production of exudate and accelerates the removal of toxins from the body.

These characteristics are almost identical to the original. But at the same time, the effect of Dexamethasone lasts for 3-28 days (depending on the method of administration of the drug), while in the original, the therapeutic effect lasts up to 10 days.

Further, comparisons of Dexamethasone and Diprospan are made according to indications and prohibitions.

Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules
Diprospan analogs and substitutes, such as Dexamethasone, should not be used for diseases of the organs of the cardiovascular system.

Both drugs can be used in combination treatment (since the drugs only eliminate symptoms of diseases, and not the cause of the disease), but provided that they are combined with additional medicines. Dexamethasone and Diprospan injections can only be administered by a qualified doctor.

Since it is extremely important to assess the patient's condition after drug administration. Also, a single dosage, the frequency of administration of drugs per day and the duration of treatment are determined by the doctor strictly individually according to the general condition of the patient.

The use of Dexamethasone, like Diprospan, is often accompanied by side effects, which can be manifested by the following symptoms (characteristic of both medicines).

Scroll:

For both medicines, withdrawal symptoms are characteristic, therefore, after completion of the course of treatment, the dosage must be reduced gradually. Long-term treatment, self-increasing dose or swallowing the solution is extremely life-threatening (typical for both medicines).

In these cases, there is an increase in adverse reactions, the development of a lethal outcome is not excluded. In case of an overdose, only a doctor can prescribe treatment. There is no specific antidote for drugs.

Diprospan and Dexamethasone are prescribed by doctors when it is necessary to quickly achieve a therapeutic effect or when the use of oral drugs is unacceptable. For the period of treatment, as well as for 30 days after the end of therapy, it is forbidden to take alcoholic beverages.

Hydrocortisone

Diprospan can be substituted for the prescription hormonal medication Hydrocortisone. The drug can be purchased both domestically and imported. The tool is released in the form of a solution in ampoules for injection, also in the form of tablets and ointments.

Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules

The active ingredient (hydrocortisone) of the analogue has the following properties:

  • restores the work of organs in a state of shock;
  • reduces the formation of toxins and accelerates the removal of existing ones;
  • eliminates itching;
  • prevents the production of exudate;
  • reduces the development of inflammatory processes (anti-inflammatory activity is much lower than that of the original);
  • suppresses the protective functions of the body;
  • has an antihistamine effect.

The listed effects occur in a short time (as with the use of Diprospan), but remain only in within 2 days (when using the original, the duration of the therapeutic effect can last up to 10 days). Indications for the appointment of Hydrocortisone are completely identical to Diprospan.

That is, a substitute is prescribed in the following cases:

  • to reduce the development of inflammatory processes in the body;
  • to eliminate swelling of brain tissue;
  • to normalize the patient's condition with the development of a state of shock;
  • in the combined therapy of severe dermatological and infectious pathologies;

  • when transplanting a donor organ. Hydrocortisone prevents the rejection of the transplanted organ;
  • in the combined treatment of blood pathologies;
  • to quickly increase low blood pressure;
  • with exacerbation of pathologies of the liver, stomach and thyroid gland, provided that the patient's condition is close to the development of a shock state;

Hydrocortisone and Diprospan can be used in combination therapy. At the same time, the selection of drugs is carried out by the attending specialist, since medicines are not combined with all means. The rules for using Hydrocortisone are identical to the original.

That is, the dosage of the solution for injection, the frequency of procedures per day and the duration of treatment are set by the doctor strictly individually. When prescribing a course of treatment, the specialist should take into account that both medications are characterized by a withdrawal syndrome.

Therefore, by the end of the course of therapy, the dosage of the solution of Hydrocortisone and Diprospan must be gradually reduced. The use of Hydrocortisone, like Diprospan, may be accompanied by side effects, which can be expressed as the following abnormalities in the body.

    Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules
  • accession of an infection of any nature (viral, fungal, bacterial).

With a sharp withdrawal of medications, as well as with prolonged therapy or an increase in dosage, there is an increase in the listed symptoms. Lethal outcome is not excluded. If you suspect the development of an overdose of drugs, an ambulance call is required, since only a doctor can prescribe restorative therapy.

Important. Hydrocortisone and Diprospan should be used with extreme caution in the presence of parasites in the body, as well as when an infection is detected.

To prevent exacerbation of infectious diseases, injections should be combined with antibiotics.

Flosterone

Diprospan (analogs in ampoules are not only selected strictly by the doctor, but must also be used permanently) can be replaced with the prescription hormonal agent Flosteron (manufactured by Slovenia).

The active ingredient of the drug is identical to Diprospan (betamethasone) and is contained in the solution in a similar concentration (2 and 5 mg each). The difference between the drugs consists only in the auxiliary components used.

Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules

Flosterone, like the original, has the following properties:

  • pronounced anti-inflammatory effect;
  • helps to suppress the body's defenses;
  • prevents the development of rheumatism;
  • reduces the sensitivity of cells to histamine, as a result, the development of an allergic reaction stops;
  • has a pronounced anti-shock effect;
  • has an antitoxic effect.

The treated effect after the administration of the drug is noted in the first minutes, and the therapeutic effect can persist for about 10 days (as in Diprospan).

Flosterone, like Diprospan, is used in the following cases:

  • shock conditions caused by: burns, trauma, toxic poisoning, as well as acute heart failure and liver cirrhosis;
  • to eliminate the symptoms of an allergic reaction. It is used for severe allergies;
  • elimination of swelling of brain tissue;
  • with pathologies of connective tissue in severe forms (rheumatism, hepatic coma, lupus erythematosus);
  • for quick cleansing of the body in case of toxic poisoning;
  • inflammatory pathologies of the joints in severe form;
  • dermatological diseases in the acute stage;
  • with insect bites with "severe consequences";
  • in the presence of severe inflammatory processes in the body;
  • to reduce the severity of symptoms in autoimmune and oncological diseases;
  • to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ;
  • when you need to urgently increase low pressure;
  • severe blood diseases;
  • severe asthmatic attack.
Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules

Additionally, Flosterone is used in the complex treatment of adrenal insufficiency.

The list of prohibitions for the appointment of an analogue is also similar to Diprospan and consists of the following items:

  • hypersensitivity to the elements of solutions;
  • the patient has a fungal, viral and bacterial infection. If it is necessary to use the drug, combination therapy is required;
  • poor blood clotting;
  • periods before and after vaccination;
  • development of cerebral edema as a result of trauma;
  • the patient's age up to 3 years;
  • lactation period;
  • pronounced violation of the state of the articular tissues;
  • the presence of parasites in the patient's body;
  • tuberculosis in any form;
  • diagnosing a patient with HIV or AIDS;
  • exacerbation of pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract, including severe liver pathologies;
  • severe heart failure;
  • high rate of arterial, intraocular and intracranial pressure;
  • the patient has diabetes mellitus or dysfunction of the thyroid gland;
  • exacerbation of kidney disease;
  • severe obesity in the patient;
  • the patient's tendency to develop seizures;
  • the patient has severe psychological abnormalities.

Additionally, both drugs should be used with extreme caution when treating patients over 55 years of age. It should also be borne in mind that the use of Flosterone negatively affects the development of the fetus in pregnant women, therefore, injections are prescribed in the most extreme cases.

Moreover, after childbirth, the child can be under the supervision of doctors for a long time. When prescribing the drug Flosterone, the course of treatment and dosage are set by the treating specialist strictly individually. In this case, the doctor takes into account that the use of an analogue is accompanied by a withdrawal syndrome.

Therefore, it is impossible to abruptly stop treatment. Cancellation of the medication should be carried out gradually. Before using the product, the patient should be familiarized with the possible side effects, since some of the symptoms of a negative reaction can be fatal.

The following is a list of possible side effects:

  • exacerbation of diseases of the digestive tract;
    Diprospan analogs and substitutes in ampoules
  • development of Quincke's edema or anaphylactic shock;
  • suppression of the functioning of the adrenal glands;
  • child's lag in growth, as well as delayed sexual development in adolescents;
  • exacerbation or development of diabetes mellitus;
  • a sharp increase in weight, but at the same time the muscles become flabby;
  • decrease in the amount of potassium in the body;
  • development of severe puffiness;
  • severe violation of the psychological state;
  • the development of seizures;
  • increased arterial, intraocular and intracranial pressure;
  • decrease in the quality of vision. In rare cases, complete blindness developed;
  • the development of bleeding in the digestive tract;
  • very slow healing of even small wounds, including the places where the needle is inserted;
  • the appearance of acne with purulent contents;
  • severe muscle weakness;
  • disruption of the heart and vascular patency;
  • severe menstrual irregularities;
  • accession of infectious pathologies;
  • migraine, dizziness.

The list of side effects is close to the original. The above symptoms are aggravated if the injection is stopped abruptly, the prescribed dosage is independently exceeded, and also if the course of treatment is not reasonably long. In these cases, the development of a lethal outcome is not excluded.

In case of an overdose of a drug or the development of a withdrawal syndrome, the help of doctors is required in the near future.

Important. Phlosterone, like Diprospan, is prohibited from using without a doctor's prescription. The injections should be administered by medical personnel, as sometimes the assistance of a doctor may be required after the injection.

Rates

Diprospan, analogs in ampoules of which are in the same price category, is not a cheap drug. The table shows a comparison of the original with substitutes by price.

Name of the medication Number of ampoules in a package Price range (in rubles)

Dexamethasone 25 pcs. 265-325
Hydrocortisone 10 pieces. 155-195
Flosterone 5 pieces. 780-850
