What is a cardiac profile
Cardiological profile - a set of special blood tests that assess the possibility of developing diseases of the heart and blood vessels, damage to myocardial cells.
Indications for a cardiac profile:
- heart attack;
- stroke;
- arrhythmia;
- tachycardia;
- high blood pressure;
- ischemic disease;
- vascular atherosclerosis.
Let's take a look at the main indications of a cardiac profile.
Lipidogram
Lipidogram (lipid profile) is necessary for the conduct and diagnosis of coronary heart disease and atherosclerosis.
Coagulogram
The coagulogram shows an increase in blood viscosity parameters.
Blood viscosity indicates an increased risk of ischemic and hypertensive heart disease (strokes and heart attacks).
Aspartate aminotransferase
Aspartate aminotransferase (AsAT) is an enzyme involved in the exchange of amino acids in the heart muscle, in the tissues of the liver and some other organs. Myocardial infarction increases the activity of AST until the ECG reveals the typical sign of infarction.
AsAT is normal: in men, about 37 units / l; in women, about 31 units / l.
Creatine kinase
Creatine kinase (creatine phosphokinase) is an intracellular enzyme that is a catalyst that increases the rate transformations of the nucleotide adenosine triphosphate (ATP is a source of energy involved in biological processes).
KFK-MV
CPK-MB is found in the cells of the muscle tissue of the heart.
When damage occurs in the myocardial cell system, the increased activity of CPK-MB becomes noticeable several hours (about four) after a heart attack.
The values of CPK-MB are normal: in men - about 171 units / l; for women - about 145 units / l.
Lactate dehydrogenase
Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) is an enzyme with a high zinc content.
LDH takes part in the final stage of glucose conversion and is found in almost any tissue or organ of the human body.
LDH activity is most often observed in the heart muscle, kidneys and liver.
Acute myocardial infarction a few hours (8-10) after the onset of the first pain sharply raises LDH activity in the norm - about 247 U / L.
How to prepare for a cardiac profile
Preparing for a cardiology profile:
- alcohol should not be consumed at least a day before the analysis;
- smoking should be limited one hour before the study.
Blood sampling is best done in the morning on an empty stomach. Even tea and coffee are not allowed. Drinking only one water is allowed.
It is required to completely eliminate physical and psychological stress.
Where to take a cardiology profile
The cardiological profile can be taken at the Russian Cardiology Research and Production Complex.
The address of the complex: Moscow, 3rd Cherepkovskaya street, 15a. The nearest metro stations are Molodezhnaya and Shchukinskaya.
