Contraindications
Hyastat is not recommended for use in the presence of:
- of individual intolerance to the components of the drug;
- foci of inflammation and infection in the affected joint;
- of the fourth stage of deformation, confirmed by the roentgenogram;
- such diseases as hemarthrosis and synovitis.
Usage rules
Hyastat is injected directly into the joint cavity( most often knee joint).
The maximum dose is 2ml / 20g in one joint. In parallel, you can inject the medicine into several joints, if necessary.
The course of treatment is usually 3 to 5 injections with an interval of 7-10 days. If necessary, injections can be repeated after 6-12 months.
Before the direct administration of the solution, it is necessary to carry out such studies as:
- joint X-ray in two projections;
- general analysis of the patient's blood and urine.
Basically, the injection into the joint is made by anterior access, avoiding the damage to the cartilage of the joint with the injection needle.
Introduction should be easy, without resistance, which confirms the fact of falling into the joint cavity.
Otherwise, the procedure is not performed correctly and there will be extremely undesirable consequences( pain, swelling, fever, etc.).
After fluid administration, it is necessary to ensure the joint rest for several days. If necessary, the patient is allowed to take anesthetic non-steroid drugs.
Cases of overdose by practice have not been established, since the drug is strictly accountable and is dispensed only by prescription.

The instructions for use clearly state the limitations and cautions when using Hyastat, so when treating this agent, do not:
- insert the solution into the capsule of the joint and blood vessels;
