Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics of the drug
Chondroitin sulfate is the active substancem medication. This is a high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide. Due to its properties, it inhibits degeneration, produces a restoration of cartilaginous tissue.
Has analgesic, chondroprotective and anti-inflammatory action.
After application inside, chondroitin sulfate with blood flow gets and accumulates in the joint cavity, in which the recovery of cartilaginous tissue is accelerated, the process of calcium and phosphorus metabolism is established, and destruction is slowed down.
The drug is excreted by the kidneys from the body within 24 hours.
Ingredients
In 1 milliliter of the drug for injection is 100 mg of chondroitin. Also included in the composition: benzyl alcohol in the amount of 9 mg and water for injection.
In one capsule or Mucosate tablet is 250 mg of chondroitin.
Mechanism of action
The action of the drug is based on the fact that it is able to block enzymes that affect the cartilaginous tissue.
Also helps to optimize calcium-phosphorus metabolism in cartilaginous tissue. Due to this, the connective and cartilaginous tissue is restored.
Indications for use
A medicinal preparation is prescribed for the treatment of: 
- of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints( symptoms are acute pains in the back and spine);
- fractures and other injuries;

The instructions for use indicate that Mukosata injections are applied no more than once every two days.
