Instructions for the use of Cyston describes the features of the use of a multicomponent herbal remedy and recommends its use in the treatment of infectious diseases of the urinary tract. The drug is produced by the Indian pharmaceutical company "Himalaya Drug Co", which specializes in the creation of drugs from natural plant materials.

Cyston - description of the drug and principle of action

Cyston is a combined preparation containing more than 14 plant extracts and natural components that provide a pronounced antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and antispasmodic action. At the same time, the drug has an antimicrobial and nephrolitholytic effect. Its active substances prevent the growth and reproduction of pathogenic bacteria that penetrate the urinary tract, promote the dissolution of kidney stones and the excretion of salts that form them (oxolates, uric and oxalic acid, phosphates).

The action of the drug is aimed at stopping infectious and inflammatory processes and eliminating stagnation in the urinary tract caused by blockage by stones. Reception of Cyston increases urine output by 30% and relaxes the muscles of the urinary tract, due to which mucus, pus and infectious agents are released from the body. The drug is able to affect a special substance - mucin, which holds the particles of crystals, sand and kidney stones together. As a result, softening, demineralization, crushing and removal of urinary stones occurs.

The bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect of the drug is manifested against gram-negative bacteria (Klebsiella, E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and other pathogenic microorganisms. The use of Cyston simultaneously with antibiotics several times increases the effectiveness of standard therapy and significantly reduces the likelihood of subsequent relapses of the disease.

Composition, release form

Cyston is available in a single dosage form - in the form of round, biconvex tablets brown, odorless, on the surface of which inclusions of darker or lighter are permissible shade. Tablets of 100 pieces are packaged in plastic bottles and placed in a cardboard box along with an annotation for use.

The preparation contains extracts of medicinal plants obtained in the usual way or isolated by processing over steam, as well as natural ingredients - mummy and silica lime.

Each Cyston tablet contains extracts:

  • stalk bicart - provides a diuretic effect;
  • madder cordifolia - has an astringent and diuretic effect, promotes the dissolution and excretion of calculi;
  • bracts onosma - relieves irritation of mucous membranes, has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, diuretic and antimicrobial properties;
  • lingular saxifrage - dissolves and breaks down silicon-colloidal compounds, has antimicrobial and diuretic effect;
  • filmy saturation - extract from rhizomes exhibits a pronounced antibacterial effect;
  • rough straw - provides an antispasmodic and diuretic effect;
  • vernonia ashy - effectively eliminates urinary problems by relaxing the bladder.

Shilajit powder in the composition of the drug normalizes metabolic processes, improves digestion and urination. Silicon lime powder enhances the diuretic effect of the drug and helps dissolve calculi. In addition to these ingredients, each tablet contains an extract from a mixture of plant materials processed over steam. The mixture contains fragrant basil, horse bean seeds, teak tree, mimosa, tribulus creeping fruits, povonia plant and field horsetail.

Such a multicomponent composition of the drug together provides an effective therapeutic effect and allows the use of Cyston as part of the complex therapy of many urological pathologies.

Indications

Cyston tablets are recommended for the following conditions:

  • with urinary tract infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis, pyelitis, urethritis), including during pregnancy;
  • gout;
  • urolithiasis;
  • urinary incontinence (in women);
  • silalolithiasis (presence of stones in the salivary glands);
  • crystalluria (excretion of salt crystals in the urine).

Good to know

As a prophylactic agent, Cyston is prescribed to prevent the re-formation of kidney stones after surgery to remove them.

The drug effectively breaks down phosphate and litholizoxolate stones, as well as stones formed by uric acid and urates. Medication should be treated after consultation with a urologist, who will tell you how to take Cyston correctly and select the optimal therapy regimen for each specific case.

Cyston treatment

According to the instructions, Cyston tablets are taken orally whole, without chewing and drinking a sufficient volume of water (at least 100 ml). In the course of treatment, it is recommended to increase the amount of fluid consumed to 2.5 liters per day. This volume includes drinking and mineral water, juices, compotes, tea and does not include first courses.

The dosage of Cyston is determined by the doctor and depends on the type of disease, the severity of the symptoms, the age and well-being of the patient. In the complex treatment of urolithiasis, adult patients are prescribed 4 tablets per day. They need to be divided into 2 steps. The same dosage is provided for the treatment of infectious processes in the urinary system. With gout, the daily intake of the drug is 6 tablets, which are divided into three doses.

After surgical interventions for the removal of stones, in the first month, two Cyston tablets are taken in the morning and in the evening. In the next 4-5 months, this dose is reduced by half, while maintaining the frequency of administration.

Cyston is prescribed for children based on age. For young patients from 2 to 6 years old - in a single dose of 1/4 tablet, from 6 to 14 years old - 1/2 tablet each, from 14 years old - 1 tablet each. The frequency of application of the drug is 3 times a day. The dose can be adjusted by the doctor based on the type of illness and the condition of the child.

How much to drink Cyston? The drug should be taken for a long time, until the complete elimination of the infectious process in the urinary tract. The therapeutic effect of taking a herbal remedy does not come instantly, but accumulates gradually. On average, the course of therapy for cystitis takes from 4 to 12 weeks, with other infectious processes - 4-6 weeks. Cyston for kidney stones will have to be taken for 4-6 months, until the stones come out completely.

Instructions for use for cystitis

In the treatment of cystitis, Cyston is prescribed in combination with antibacterial drugs or uroantiseptics (Monural, Nolitsin, Norbactin), since the therapeutic effect of one herbal remedy is not enough for the complete destruction of pathogenic bacteria that cause an infectious and inflammatory process in the bladder.

Antibiotic therapy is carried out in short courses, after its completion, Cyston should be taken for several more weeks. This will help restore damaged mucous membranes, eliminate sluggish inflammation and prevent possible relapses of the disease.

During pregnancy

Cyston tablets consist exclusively of their natural and herbal ingredients, so they can be prescribed to pregnant and lactating women. The drug is completely safe for the mother and fetus, does not cause systemic adverse reactions and does not adversely affect internal organs.

Pregnant women often suffer from symptoms of cystitis and other urinary tract infections. This is due to the weakening of the immune system and the growing pressure of the uterus on the internal organs, in particular on the bladder. Cyston quickly relieves the inflammatory process, eliminates urination difficulties and other unpleasant symptoms.

During pregnancy, pills for cystitis are taken according to the standard scheme (2 pieces twice a day). To ensure active diuresis, the amount of fluid consumed is increased to 2.5 liters per day.

If a pregnant woman suffers from urolithiasis, then Cyston should not be prescribed without an urgent need, since the release of stones is accompanied by painful spasms, which can provoke uterine hypertonicity and miscarriage.

Contraindications

Cyston is a non-toxic herbal preparation with a minimum number of contraindications. The medication cannot be prescribed in case of individual intolerance to its components, as well as in the case when ultrasound data confirm the presence of large calculi, the diameter of which exceeds 10 mm. Such formations can cause ureteral obstruction and complications that can be eliminated only by surgery.

You should not use herbal remedy and in cases where there are acute pains in the urinary tract. Persons with a tendency to allergic reactions are advised to carry out an individual sensitivity test before taking the drug.

Adverse Reactions

The drug is well tolerated by patients even with prolonged use. Only in exceptional cases, in persons with hypersensitivity to the components, it is possible to develop allergic reactions (rash, itching, hyperemia of the skin). In this case, the drug is stopped and a doctor is consulted to replace the drug and adjust the subsequent course of treatment.

Analogs

Cyston has a unique combined composition, therefore it has no structural analogs. But the doctor can replace this remedy with another drug with a similar therapeutic effect. Among the medicines used to dissolve stones, the following drugs are most suitable:

  • Urolesan,
  • Phytolysin,
  • Rovatinex,
  • Kanephron,
  • Afala.

Many patients are interested in which is better, Cyston or Kanefron and what is the difference between these drugs? Both medicines are considered safe phytopreparations based on extracts and extracts of medicinal plants. They have the same indications for use and an almost identical spectrum of therapeutic action. Canephron and Cyston are used to treat and prevent urinary tract infections and re-formation of stones.

It all depends on the individual characteristics of the patient. Someone is more suited to Canephron, others - note that Cyston in their case acts more effectively and dissolves urinary calculi better. Another advantage of this particular drug is in a more pronounced antimicrobial effect, therefore, in an acute inflammatory process, it is preferable to include Cyston in the complex treatment regimen.

Experts advise people with a tendency to allergic reactions to choose Canephron for treatment, it is safer in this regard. Another plus of herbal remedies is the ability to block the excretion of protein in the urine, which is very important for pregnant women. Therefore, it is better for this category of patients to opt for Canephron.

Price

Cyston tablets can be bought at any pharmacy freely, without a doctor's prescription. The price of a pack of 100 tablets on average ranges from 350 to 470 rubles.

Reviews of Cyston tablets

Reviews on the use of Cyston tablets from doctors and patients are in most cases positive. Doctors note the safety and versatility of the therapeutic action and say that the use of herbal remedies significantly increases the effectiveness of antibacterial therapy.

The drug can be taken for a long time without fear of systemic adverse reactions and negative health effects. Regular courses of prophylactic treatment help prevent recurrence of the disease and re-formation of stones, ensuring complete recovery.

Patients actively support the positive opinion of doctors, but point to several disadvantages - the need to take the drug for a long time and the high price. If the treatment takes several months, then you will have to buy several packages of the medicine, since one bottle is enough for 3-4 weeks.

Review number 1

Recently I had an attack of urolithiasis, the pains were very sharp, burning, the temperature rose, the condition was simply terrible. In the hospital, the first thing I did was sent for an ultrasound scan, where they found kidney stones.

It's good that they turned out to be small (2-3 mm). They prescribed me a course of treatment - antibiotics and the drug Cyston for dissolving stones. Antibiotics quickly relieved the painful attacks, now I have been taking the herbal preparation for the third month already. I feel much better.

Review number 2

I was prescribed Cyston for pyelonephritis. As I understand it, this herbal preparation relieves inflammation well, fights microbes and has a diuretic effect. But the effect of this remedy alone is weak, so it is prescribed together with strong synthetic medicines.

The advantage of Cyston is that it is completely natural, does not contain chemical components, it contains only plant extracts. Therefore, the medication is safe and can be used for a long time.
