How to prevent the development of cataracts

click fraud protection

A cataract is a clouding of the lens that is located inside the eye and is a lens that lets light rays pass through it. Naturally, it should be transparent and elastic, but, unfortunately, with age, it begins to grow cloudy. Opacities can affect part of the lens, or completely its entire thickness, the intensity of opacities can also increase gradually, or it happens in the shortest possible time. With cataracts, visual acuity decreases, there is a feeling of "fog" before the eyes, the field of vision and the contrast of surrounding objects are narrowed.

In recent years, cataracts have "rejuvenated", if earlier people addressed ophthalmologists with the above complaints old age - over 60 years old, today, after 40 years, many celebrate the appearance of "shroud" and "fog" before eyes. Undoubtedly, technological progress, radiation from monitors, poor ecology, magnetic, ionizing radiation, as well as aggressive sunlight played a huge role. In parallel with this, the diet of a modern person has changed, and the food products themselves have changed. It is difficult to find truly healthy, vitamin-enriched vegetables and fruits on the shelves.

Lens clouding occurs due to malnutrition and a decrease in the intensity of metabolic processes, both in the eye and in the body as a whole. Degenerative processes in the lenses can occur against the background of a lack of nutrients, namely antioxidants that protect the eye from the harmful effects of sunlight and other negative factors. The main components of the antioxidant system in the eye are natural carotenoids - lutein and zeaxanthin. A large concentration of these substances is noted in tissues exposed to massive sunlight, which allows them to be protected from the damaging effects of the blue part of the visible light spectrum. The fact is that these carotenoids prevent lipid peroxidation and the formation of free radicals, which directly damage the tissues of the eye. It is necessary to constantly maintain a high concentration of these substances in the lens and retina, but the problem consists in the fact that they enter the human body only with food and are not able to be synthesized on one's own.

In this regard, to prevent clouding of the lens, ophthalmologists recommend people aged after 40 years, take high-quality vitamin complexes containing nutrients necessary for the eyes substances. The main components of such complexes should be lutein and zeaxanthin, and it is important to observe the optimal combination of these substances in the preparation. In addition to the main carotenoids, other antioxidants useful for the eyes may be included in the composition: selenium, zinc, vitamins C and E, which enhance the work of lutein and zeaxanthin and improve metabolic processes in lens.

The clinically tested product of European production "Ocuwaite Lutein Forte" has an optimal and balanced composition. It is not surprising that it is the # 1 drug on the recommendation of Russian ophthalmologists. The drug has a beneficial effect on the retina, preventing the development and progression of age-related macular degeneration, is actively used in myopic disease and diabetic angiopathy.

Do not wait for vision to start to decrease, use vitamin complexes as a preventive measure, eat right, go in for sports, breathe fresh air and this will preserve not only the health and youth of the eyes, but also the whole body generally.
