Desrinite comes in the form of a nasal spray. When applied topically, it eliminates inflammation and allergies. It is used to treat seasonal hay fever, acute and chronic rhinosinusitis. Its use is relevant in the presence of polyps in the nose. The agent belongs to the group of topical glucocorticosteroids, therefore it has hormonal properties. There are several analogues on the pharmaceutical market.

Domestic and imported analogues of the product

To date, the use of nasal forms of glucocorticosteroids is the most effective treatment for allergic rhinitis. However, these drugs do not affect the cause of the development of the disease, but only stop its symptoms. Therefore, the identification of the allergen and the maximum exclusion of contact with it remains a decisive stage in the patient's recovery process.

Dezrinit nasal spray is not the only hormonal agent that can be used to treat nasal pathologies. This drug has several analogues.

They can be divided into 2 main categories:

• Functional analogues have an active substance different from Dezrinit, but they have a similar therapeutic effect.

The active ingredient of Dezrinit is mometasone furoate in an amount of 50 μg per 1 single dose.

Mometasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid that is applied topically to the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.

When sprayed, Desrinite has the following effects:

• violation of the production of inflammatory mediators;
• decreased synthesis of prostaglandins;
• elimination of the secreted inflammatory exudate;
• preventing the development of symptoms of an allergic reaction.

Dezrinit's studies have shown that the agent interferes with the synthesis of histamine (the main component of allergies), disrupts the production of eosinophils and neutrophils. That is, the effect of allergy mediators on the patient's body is eliminated. As a result, allergy symptoms disappear.

Namely:

• elimination of edema and itching;
• a decrease in the amount of mucus produced;
• the disappearance of sneezing and burning in the nasal cavity.

Desrinitis acts locally, therefore, systemic absorption into the body is practically excluded. According to the instructions for use, the bioavailability of mometasone does not exceed 1% of the total amount. This means that a negligible dose of the hormone, which theoretically can enter the gastrointestinal tract, is actively metabolized even before being excreted from the body. Therefore, the likelihood of systemic exposure to the hormone on the body is almost completely excluded. This is a plus, because the low absorption of the nasal spray is a guarantee of the absence of systemic adverse reactions.

Desrinite nasal spray and its structural counterparts share many characteristics in common. However, they differ from each other by the manufacturer. It is impossible to say which remedy is optimal.

Only a doctor (this can be a therapist or otorhinolaryngologist) can make a competent replacement if necessary. When choosing a therapy, a specialist pays attention to many factors (diagnosis, severity of the disease, the presence of chronic diseases, the patient's gender, age). Nasobek

An analogue of Dezrinit nasal spray is produced in the Czech Republic by the same pharmaceutical company as Dezrinit. Since the drugs are structural analogs, they have a different composition. Nasobek includes beclomethasone dipropionate in an amount of 50 mcg per single dose. This agent also belongs to the group of topical glucocorticosteroids. However, these are different chemical compounds with mometasone.

To compare these 2 drugs, you should study the properties of their active ingredients:

• Beclomethasone dipropionate managed to synthesize before all hormones for topical use. Its use for the treatment of allergic diseases has remained relevant for over 40 years. Years of experience in its use suggests that the product is familiar to specialists, its effectiveness and safety have been proven.
• Mometasone furoate, part of Dezrinit, is the youngest representative of the class of nasal hormones. The substance is actively produced on the pharmaceutical market, but its study is still underway. At the moment, it has been established that mometasone has the lowest bioavailability compared to the Nasobek component, that is, it acts exclusively at the site of its application. In practice, there is no significant difference, because beclomethasone is able to be absorbed in small quantities. However, with prolonged and frequent use, this drug can overdose.

Nasobek is more often used in the treatment of pathologies:

• Allergic rhinitis, characteristic of the flowering season.
• Allergic rhinitis, the symptoms of which are constantly observed, regardless of the season.

Dezrinit's list of indications is much more extensive.

It includes the treatment of diseases:

• In patients over 18 years of age, the drug is actively used in the treatment of polyposis, which leads to disruption of the breathing process and constant nasal congestion.

The side effects of the drugs are very similar. The only important difference is the different incidence of nosebleeds. According to the instructions, when using Nasobek, the frequency of side effects did not exceed 1%. While this indicator for Desrinit is 5% (compared to placebo). That is, the likelihood of an undesirable reaction when using an agent based on mometasone is slightly higher. The list of contraindications is also slightly different.

Both drugs are contraindicated in the following cases:

An analogue of Dezrinit nasal spray is contraindicated in diseases such as:

With prolonged and frequent use of Desrinit, the likelihood of developing an overdose is minimal. While during treatment with Nasobek, symptoms of hypercortisolism may develop. It is a disease caused by the accumulation of hormones in the adrenal cortex.

• osteoporosis;
