Desrinite comes in the form of a nasal spray. When applied topically, it eliminates inflammation and allergies. It is used to treat seasonal hay fever, acute and chronic rhinosinusitis. Its use is relevant in the presence of polyps in the nose. The agent belongs to the group of topical glucocorticosteroids, therefore it has hormonal properties. There are several analogues on the pharmaceutical market.

Domestic and imported analogues of the product

To date, the use of nasal forms of glucocorticosteroids is the most effective treatment for allergic rhinitis. However, these drugs do not affect the cause of the development of the disease, but only stop its symptoms. Therefore, the identification of the allergen and the maximum exclusion of contact with it remains a decisive stage in the patient's recovery process.

Dezrinit nasal spray is not the only hormonal agent that can be used to treat nasal pathologies. This drug has several analogues.

insta story viewer

They can be divided into 2 main categories:

  • Structural analogs are agents with the same composition, mechanism of action and list of indications.
  • Functional analogues have an active substance different from Dezrinit, but they have a similar therapeutic effect.

The 1st group includes the following funds:

  • Nazonex;
  • Momat Reno;
  • Nosephrine.

The most famous representative of structural analogs is Nasobek.

The active ingredient of Dezrinit is mometasone furoate in an amount of 50 μg per 1 single dose.

Mometasone is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid that is applied topically to the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.

When sprayed, Desrinite has the following effects:

  • violation of the production of inflammatory mediators;
  • decreased synthesis of prostaglandins;
  • elimination of the secreted inflammatory exudate;
  • preventing the development of symptoms of an allergic reaction.

Dezrinit's studies have shown that the agent interferes with the synthesis of histamine (the main component of allergies), disrupts the production of eosinophils and neutrophils. That is, the effect of allergy mediators on the patient's body is eliminated. As a result, allergy symptoms disappear.

Namely:

  • elimination of edema and itching;
  • a decrease in the amount of mucus produced;
  • the disappearance of sneezing and burning in the nasal cavity.

Desrinitis acts locally, therefore, systemic absorption into the body is practically excluded. According to the instructions for use, the bioavailability of mometasone does not exceed 1% of the total amount. This means that a negligible dose of the hormone, which theoretically can enter the gastrointestinal tract, is actively metabolized even before being excreted from the body. Therefore, the likelihood of systemic exposure to the hormone on the body is almost completely excluded. This is a plus, because the low absorption of the nasal spray is a guarantee of the absence of systemic adverse reactions.

Analogues of Dezrinit nasal spray cheaper

Desrinite nasal spray and its structural counterparts share many characteristics in common. However, they differ from each other by the manufacturer. It is impossible to say which remedy is optimal.

Only a doctor (this can be a therapist or otorhinolaryngologist) can make a competent replacement if necessary. When choosing a therapy, a specialist pays attention to many factors (diagnosis, severity of the disease, the presence of chronic diseases, the patient's gender, age). Self-treatment with hormonal nasal sprays is unacceptable.

Nazonex

The Belgian preparation based on mometasone furoate contains the active ingredient in the same amount as Dezrinit. Due to the fact that the active substance and its concentration are the same, the preparations have the same pharmacological properties and field of application.

These funds differ from each other only by the manufacturer and the cost:

  • Desrinite is produced in the Czech Republic by TEVA Czech Industries. s.r.o. ".
  • Nazonex is created in Belgium by the pharmaceutical company SCHERING-PLOUGH LABO. N.V. ".

Momat Reno

This drug is a complete analogue of Dezrinit. Their main difference lies in the manufacturer. Momat is produced in India by GLENMARK PHARMACEUTICALS. Ltd. "

In addition, there are slight differences in the composition of these 2 drugs. The content of the solution of benzalkonium chloride in the Dezrinit spray is 40 μg. Analogues of Dezrinit nasal spray cheaperWhile in the Momat Reno product, the content of this component is 20 μg. This substance plays the role of a preservative, which is responsible for maintaining the therapeutic effect of the drug and the constancy of its physical and chemical properties. And although the content of benzalkonium chloride is different, in practice this is not significant.

The rest of the drugs have the same characteristics.

Nasobek

An analogue of Dezrinit nasal spray is produced in the Czech Republic by the same pharmaceutical company as Dezrinit. Since the drugs are structural analogs, they have a different composition. Nasobek includes beclomethasone dipropionate in an amount of 50 mcg per single dose. This agent also belongs to the group of topical glucocorticosteroids. However, these are different chemical compounds with mometasone.

To compare these 2 drugs, you should study the properties of their active ingredients:

  • Beclomethasone dipropionate managed to synthesize before all hormones for topical use. Its use for the treatment of allergic diseases has remained relevant for over 40 years. Years of experience in its use suggests that the product is familiar to specialists, its effectiveness and safety have been proven.
  • Mometasone furoate, part of Dezrinit, is the youngest representative of the class of nasal hormones. The substance is actively produced on the pharmaceutical market, but its study is still underway. At the moment, it has been established that mometasone has the lowest bioavailability compared to the Nasobek component, that is, it acts exclusively at the site of its application. In practice, there is no significant difference, because beclomethasone is able to be absorbed in small quantities. However, with prolonged and frequent use, this drug can overdose.

You should also compare the indications for use.

Nasobek is more often used in the treatment of pathologies:

  • Allergic rhinitis, characteristic of the flowering season.
  • Allergic rhinitis, the symptoms of which are constantly observed, regardless of the season.
  • Violation of the tone of the blood vessels of the nose (vasomotor rhinitis).Analogues of Dezrinit nasal spray cheaper

Dezrinit's list of indications is much more extensive.

It includes the treatment of diseases:

  • Allergic rhinitis of any etiology and duration in persons over 2 years of age.
  • For acute and chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane of the sinuses, the spray can be used both in as the main therapy, and in addition to antibiotics (if there are signs of bacterial infection).
  • In patients over 18 years of age, the drug is actively used in the treatment of polyposis, which leads to disruption of the breathing process and constant nasal congestion.

The side effects of the drugs are very similar. The only important difference is the different incidence of nosebleeds. According to the instructions, when using Nasobek, the frequency of side effects did not exceed 1%. While this indicator for Desrinit is 5% (compared to placebo). That is, the likelihood of an undesirable reaction when using an agent based on mometasone is slightly higher. The list of contraindications is also slightly different.

Both drugs are contraindicated in the following cases:

  • hypersensitivity to components;
  • frequent nosebleeds.

An analogue of Dezrinit nasal spray is contraindicated in diseases such as:

  • pulmonary tuberculosis (in Dezrinitis it can be used with caution);
  • fungal and viral infections (in Dezrinitis, it can be used with extreme caution);Analogues of Dezrinit nasal spray cheaper
  • the patient's age is less than 6 years (in the treatment of some pathologies, Dezrinitis is approved for use in pediatrics in children from 2 years of age);
  • 1 trimester of pregnancy. While Desrinit can be used in this category of patients, but only in extreme cases under the supervision of the attending physician. This point does not mean that Dezrinit is more secure. Rather, it indicates that not enough research has been carried out in relation to him, who could give an accurate answer to the question about the possibility of treating pregnant women in the early stages gestation. Since Beclomethasone has been used in medical practice for much longer, it is already reliably known that it is prohibited to use it in this category of patients.
  • Both drugs can be used in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters of pregnancy, but only in extreme cases and strictly under the supervision of a specialist. Whenever possible, women who are carrying a child should try to avoid the use of hormonal nasal sprays. Although the drugs are practically not absorbed into the body, it is better to refuse their use. After all, there are no reliable data on the lack of influence on the development of the fetus.

With prolonged and frequent use of Desrinit, the likelihood of developing an overdose is minimal. While during treatment with Nasobek, symptoms of hypercortisolism may develop. It is a disease caused by the accumulation of hormones in the adrenal cortex.

With pathology, it can develop:

  • weight gain and muscle loss;
  • weakness;
  • osteoporosis;
  • the appearance of acne;
  • menstrual irregularities in women.

This phenomenon in therapy with the use of Nasobek practically does not occur in practice, but is described in the official instructions for use. Therefore, the treatment regimen should be strictly followed, not exceeding the recommended doses and the duration of the course of treatment.

Nosephrine

An analogue of Desrinit nasal spray has exactly the same active ingredient.

The main difference lies in the name of the manufacturing plant. Nosephrine is a domestic drug manufactured at the pharmaceutical plant JSC "Vertex". In this regard, the cost of the compared drugs may differ.

Prices

The exact cost depends on a number of factors (region, city, pricing policy of the pharmacy organization, the patient's benefits), but on average, prices vary in the following ranges:

Name Price
Desrinitis, 140 doses RUB 480-530
Nazonex, 120 doses 770-820 rub.
Momat Reno, 60 doses 350-400 rub.
Nasobek, 200 doses RUB 180-230
Nosephrine, 120 doses RUB 360-410

Nosephrine - an analogue of Dezrinite nasal spray

As you can see from the table, it is not enough to pay attention only to the cost of packaging. An important factor is the number of doses in the package. For some drugs, the contents of the bottle are enough for 200 uses. While for others, this figure is 60.

An analogue of Desrinite nasal spray Momat Reno has the lowest cost. Nosephrine is a little more expensive. Then Dezrinit. Nasonex is the most expensive of all mometasone dipropionate drugs.

However, in order to calculate the savings, it is important to determine the cost per dose of the drug. To do this, divide the average price of 1 package of the product by the number of doses it contains.

  • Desrinitis: 505 (average price) / 140 (number of doses) = 3.6 rubles.
  • Nazonex: 795/120 = 6.6 rubles.
  • Momat Reno: 375/60 = 6.25 rubles.
  • Nosephrine: 385/120 = 3.2 rubles.

Despite the fact that Momat Reno has the lowest cost, buying it is far from the most profitable. Because 1 bottle of the drug contains only 60 doses.

The acquisition of Nosefrin will be the most profitable, because the cost of 1 dose is 3.2 rubles. The low cost of the product is explained by the fact that it is produced on the territory of Russia. Therefore, the manufacturer's expenses for the delivery of the drug to the pharmacy organization are minimal.

Nasonex is an original drug, its package contains 120 doses. The cost of each will cost the buyer 6.6 rubles. This figure is 2 times higher than the cost of 1 dose of domestic Nosefrin.

However, the cost of the drug will not be the only criterion when choosing. It is important to take into account the quality of the raw materials used, the frequency of undesirable side reactions, reviews of doctors and patients. Despite the identical composition, drugs can vary greatly in characteristics. Manufacturers of original drugs conduct studies that prove the safety of the product. Generic manufacturers use identical medicinal raw materials, but do not have an evidence base.

Desrinite is in the middle price category. Overpaying about 40 kopecks per application, the patient receives a high-quality foreign drug at the cost of a domestic analogue. The spray has been presented on the pharmaceutical market for several years, doctors have experience working with this drug. During this time, the spray has proven itself excellent. Desrinitis is the best value for money among mometasone-based drugs.

Nasobek is the most profitable option. The cost of 1 dose is 1 RUB. (205/200). Nasobek has as an active ingredient not mometasone, like other drugs, but beclomethasone. And although both substances are topical glucocorticosteroids and have hormonal properties, they still have different chemical structures and effects on the body.

Replacing Desrinite with Nasobek is far from always reasonable. In addition to the price, it is important to study the composition of the drugs and the list of indications for use. For this, it is important to establish an accurate diagnosis, the cause of nasal congestion and other unpleasant symptoms. Although diseases have the same symptoms, they can have different pathogenesis (cause and mechanism of occurrence).

Dezrinit's analogs have many similar characteristics. Drugs in this category are widely used to treat nasal pathologies. In any case, it is forbidden to independently replace one hormonal spray with another. This requires prior consultation with a doctor.
