Mastopathy in men Mastopathy is a benign breast disease that manifests itself in the pathological proliferation of tissues.

This is one of the most common female diseases today - 8 out of 10 women are affected by this ailment. The main cause of the occurrence is the hormonal imbalance of the body .Mastopathy affects the well-being of women, and in some cases leads to a more serious disease - to breast cancer.

To start the disease is characterized by proliferation of connective tissue. Prosovidnye strains and nodules can also be formed. A similar form of the disease is called diffuse. The most basic manifestation of it is mastalgia( breast tenderness that occurs before menstruation and subsides with its arrival) and periodic appearance of globular seals in the upper part of the chest.

Sometimes women ignore these symptoms for a long time without going to the doctor, hoping that everything will pass by itself. This behavior entails dangerous consequences, because it is in the early stages of mastopathy that is susceptible to conservative treatment.

With the aggravation of the disease in the tissues of the breast appear tight knots, which in size can resemble both a pea and a walnut. A similar form of the disease is called nodal. With this kind of mastopathy, chest pains become more intense, they can begin to give to the armpit, shoulder.

When the disease is already at the nodal stage, any touch to the chest can be painful. From the nipple there may be bloody discharge, clear liquid or colostrum. During the palpation, the granularity or lobularity of the tissues is easily determined. Pain at this stage is no longer avoidable and it will not pass even with the onset of menstruation. In this situation, you can not delay and postpone your visit to a doctor.

It is generally believed that mastopathy is a woman's disease, but mastopathy in men also occurs, albeit infrequently, but there are cases of the disease. The main cause of this disease in men is associated with the development of hormonal imbalance. Most of all, this disease affects men who suffer from diabetes. Also, men who suffer from gynecomastia( an increase in the male breast) are at risk of developing mastopathy.

Due to the fact that men do not have milk production, it is much easier to treat the disease. In men, surgical methods are dominated by conservative methods of treating mastopathy.
