If you break the pill, there will be a yellow mass inside. The medicinal product contains a film membrane that facilitates swallowing.

The drug contains amoxicillin, a substance from the penicillin group. It is an antibiotic and is of semi-synthetic origin. Its main task is to fight against pathogenic bacteria inside the body, slowing down their growth and spread.

Therefore, bactericidal properties are attributed to amoxicillin. Depending on the version of the drug, from 250 to 875 mg of the component is used per tablet.

To enhance the effect of a substance in the production of a medication, clavulanic acid is used. This element has an antibacterial effect and inhibits the activity of beta-lactamases. Together with amoxicillin, they contribute to the rapid destruction of harmful microorganisms, so that the treatment process does not drag out for a long time.

Indications for use

Amoxiclav, analogs in tablets of which are not inferior to him in high efficiency, are used exclusively as directed by a doctor. Traditionally, the drug is used to treat diseases that are infectious in nature and were provoked by bacteria that are sensitive to active ingredients.

An antibiotic is prescribed for the following diagnoses:

• inflammatory processes in the respiratory and throat organs;
• odontogenic infections;
• sexually transmitted diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea);
• damage to the biliary tract and related conditions (cholangitis, cholecystitis);

Contraindications are identical to those indicated in the instructions for Amoxiclav: hypersensitivity and liver dysfunction.

A-clav Pharmex

The ratio of the active ingredients in the composition of the drug is 2: 1, 4: 1 or 7: 1, where most of it always belongs to amoxicillin, and the smaller part to clavulanic acid.

The number of components is the same:

• 250+125;
• 500+125;
• 875+125.

The treatment regimen is completely identical to Amoxiclav: 1 tablet with an interval of 8-12 hours. Two doses of the drug are enough per day.

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to drug components and liver disease. You can not prescribe medication to children under 12 years of age.

Amoxi-apo-clav

The action of the drug is based on a combination of clavulanic acid (125 mg) with amoxicillin (250-875 mg). It cannot be used to treat patients under 12 years of age, as well as those who are allergic to any of the components of the composition.

It is forbidden to use a medication in the course of therapy if a person has problems with the functioning of the liver, infectious mononucleosis or chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Amoxiclav is almost completely identical to Amoxic-apo-klav, therefore, the drug regimens are similar. When using analogs in tablets, it is important to take into account the content of active substances in the composition. A medicine with a powerful effect (875 + 125) is taken twice a day with a break of 12 hours. The rest of the versions are used three times a day - every 8 hours.

Betaclav

The composition of the drug does not differ from other analogues in active ingredients. The same proportions are observed as in the case of Amoxiclav: 250, 500 or 875 mg of amoxicillin per 125 mg of clavulanic acid.

It is forbidden to use the medication for people with allergies and liver diseases. It is important to observe caution in the use of the drug in case of problems with the organs of the gastrointestinal tract. Cannot be used in children under 12 years of age.

The treatment regimen is the same: 1 tablet every 8-12 hours (depending on the version), that is, twice or three times a day.
